How to choose a condom

1. How thin?

0.01–0.02mm polyurethane feels closest to skin. 0.03mm latex like Okamoto 003 is the most popular ultra-thin. Standard condoms are a little thicker.

2. Check the fit

A condom that's too tight is uncomfortable; too loose and it can slip. Try Close Fit for snug, Big Boy or Comfort XL for roomier.

3. Latex or latex-free?

If you or your partner react to latex, choose polyurethane like Okamoto 0.01 or 0.02.

4. Any extras?

Delay lubricant to last longer, ribs and dots for stimulation, or flavours for oral sex.

What's the thinnest condom you sell?

The Okamoto 001 Zero One at 0.01mm. The Okamoto 0.02 Hydro is next, and the thinnest latex options are the 0.03mm Okamoto 003 range and Durex Invisible.

How do I know what condom size I need?

Most people fit a standard condom. If standard condoms feel tight or uncomfortable, try a wider one like the Okamoto Big Boy or Durex Comfort XL. If they feel loose or slip, try Durex Close Fit.

Are there condoms for a latex allergy?

Yes. Polyurethane condoms such as the Okamoto 0.01 and Okamoto 0.02 Hydro contain no latex. If you have a known allergy, check each product page for its material.

What lube can I use with condoms?

Water-based lube is safe with every condom. Never use oil-based products like baby oil, lotion or petroleum jelly with latex condoms, because they can weaken the latex. Browse water-based lubricants.

Which condoms help you last longer?

How effective are condoms?

Used correctly every time, condoms greatly reduce the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, but no method is 100% effective. Check the expiry date, open the wrapper carefully, use a new condom every time and add water-based lube if things feel dry.

Keep them somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and sharp objects. Avoid keeping them in a wallet or a hot car for long periods, and always check the expiry date before use.
